Dorothy Muriel Lee

Dorothy Muriel Lee, 88, of La Plata died Dec. 6, 2004 at Waldorf Health Care Center, Waldorf. She graduated from Central High School in Washington, D.C. and attended Strayer College. She did volunteer work at Physicians Memorial Hospital for 10 years. Was past Matron of St. Columbia chapter # 92, Order of the Eastern Star. Member of Christ Church, Old Durham Parish. She was a member of the 2n1 Club of La Plata. She and her husband traveled extensively in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Born Nov. 24, 1916 in Columbia, Pa. She was the daughter, of the late James T. Warren, Sr. and the late Laura A. Knight. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Lee. She is survived by her nieces, Marsha Lively, Patricia Warren, and Lynn Cunningham; nephews, James T. Warren, Jimmy Rote and John Rote. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 13 from 6-8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata. Service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. The Rev. David McDonald will officiate. Burial will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Charity of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata.
