Drive In Window at the Sugar Shack
St. Mary's Sheriff David Zylak's sugar patrol checks out fugitive calories at the Sugar Shack at the St. Mary's County Fair on Sept. 24th.  These deputies show their techniques which won them first prize in donut eating while other deputies demonstrated their K-9 dogs to a large crowd.  Meanwhile those crossing the busy highway to the fairgrounds from the school parking lots were on their own, without any help from deputies to stop traffic.  There was a time when deputies working at the fair actually walked around and got to know people rather than stare at them from ATV's.  It is unknown what goodies these deputies were able to fit into the rear storage area of their 'Gator'.
