The Bush Administration has
been playing the big lie game for quite a while, promising that we
are winning the war but the truth of the matter lies in where the
President was on Thanksgiving Day. He was properly in the safety of
Camp David, where he placed calls to ten servicemen and women to
thank them for their service. He wasn’t in Baghdad, as the city is
too dangerous for him to visit and is too dangerous for anyone to
live.
The situation in Iraq deteriorated so badly this year that President
Bush could not make another holiday visit to our troops.
This war has evolved into a civil war between rival factions and U.
S. troops need to be pulled out of the way so the idiots can kill
each other, not Americans.
We are told that if we leave, the terrorists will pursue us but the
same people who say that fail to secure our national borders or to
inspect shipments by sea coming into this country.
There is no doubt that Saddam had to go, but as soon as he was gone,
we should have turned the place over to the Iraqis and let them sort
out where they wanted to be after the dictator was removed.
Our military has failed to win the war in Iraq, not that our troops
haven’t tried and died.
Military failures must be laid at the feet of military leaders and
their civilian masters.
No one has handicapped or prevented our war cabinet from carrying
out this war, without a win they deserve no credit, with a loss,
they deserve the blame.
It is time for us to win or get out. Apparently our leaders lack the
brains to win but continue to leave our troops in harms way to die.
The American people spoke loud and clear on Election Day, but
President George Bush isn’t listening.
