Edward A. Baron, known to many as "Baron", 81, of Lexington Park, MD died on August 20, 2004 in Floyd Memorial Hospital, IN.    Born July 3, 1923 in New York, he was the loving husband of the late "Pat" Mildred Baron and devoted father to the late "Punkins" Myrtle Baron-Dresher and late Timothy Baron.

Baron enlisted in the US Navy and served 27-years. He was assigned to Patuxent River Naval Air Station during 1946, flew as Bombardier-Navigator, and retired as an E9 Chief Petty Officer in 1968, then worked for Civil Service for 30-years. He retired with his wife and family in Lexington Park.

Baron was a dynamically intelligent person who thoroughly enjoyed flying and learning about air planes as he could identify any plane that flew in the sky. Military was his life and he kept healthy by swimming daily, gardening, and reading. One of his favorite ways to create memories was to troll for bluefish with family and friends on his boat along the Chesapeake Bay.

He is survived by two children, Patricia Foster, formerly of LaPlata and Ronald Baron, formerly of Lexington Park. Six grandchildren- Trisha Dunn of Lexington Park, Tim and Rachel Baron, Wayne Holt Jr., Stephanie Pruitt and Millie Holt. And six great-grandchildren including Gabriella, Christianna, Tessa, Erika, Leah, Joel and Laura. .

Family and friends are invited this week for viewing and prayer services through Brinsfield Funeral Home, Leonardtown. Donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society in Baron’s name. Call Brinsfield or 301-866-5773 for service time/date.
