Edward Perry Meyers
U. S. Navy WWII Veteran
Edward Perry Meyers, 80 of Lexington Park, MD died on
Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, Maryland.
Born on December 14, 1924 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Harry
James and Ethel Roosevelt Willingham Meyers.
He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946, where he was then
honorably discharged. He then worked as a service mechanic and supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Florence H. Meyers, Lexington Park, MD, one son,
David Perry Meyers, and two grandsons, Ethan David Meyers and Ian Perry Meyers,
all of Davidsonville, MD.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 46707 Shangri-la Drive, Lexington Park, MD
20653. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Pastor
Stephen Updegrave will officiate. Interment will be Monday, May 16, 2005 at
Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD, at 2:00 p.m.
