81, of Cobb Island

Eileen Frances Stine, 81, of Cobb Island died Jan. 12, 2005, at Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, Virginia. She was a plane spotter at Rock Point during World War II. She worked at the powder mill. She was a member of the American Legion Aux. of La Plata, V.F.W., Charles County Homemakers, Moose Logde, Eagles Club and Aglow Club. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter. Born Nov. 3, 1923, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late John William Connors and the late Ann Cecilia Down Conners. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Stine, Sr.; son, Joseph E. Stine, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Lynn Kessler, of Mason Neck, Va.; sister, Lorraine May Cuthbertson, of King George, Va.; grandchildren, Joseph E. Stine , III, Brian M. Stine, Jessica L. Greer and Jolynn J. Kessler; great-grandchildren, Joseph E. Stine, IV, Kennith Stine, Marcus Stine, Jarod Stine, and Cameron Stine. Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with service at 11 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Issue. The Rev. David Beaubien will officiate. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairfax County First Team, Att: Randy Bittinger, 7101 Armstead Road, Lorton, Va 22079, Lorton V.F.D. Inc.
