Eleanor Marie Ford
Eleanor Marie Ford of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, formerly of Forestville, Md. died at her home on Thursday, August 5, 2004. She was 75 years old.

Born January 26, 1929 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania to the late John S. and Mabel Elizabeth (Deppe) Nothstein. Eleanor, more affectionately known to her family and friends as either “Lynn” or “Dolly,” graduated in 1946 from Stephen S. Palmer High School, in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, she went to the Joyce Art School of Beauty Culture in Allentown, Pa. passing the State Board exams at Philadelphia, in Feb. 1947 as a beautician. Lynn moved to Washington, D.C. in 1950 and began her employment as a secretary for the A.A.A., Western Auto, Library of Congress and later as an office assistant to the late Dr. Raedy of District Heights, Md. However, her greatest calling in life was as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. A few of her favorite hobbies included crafting, painting, sewing, decorating and most of all, shopping for little treasures at thrift stores.

In addition to her parents, her husband, of 50 years, Harry Martin Ford, and granddaughter, Sharon Ford preceded Mrs. Ford in death.

She is survived by her children, David B. Ford and his wife Sandra of Ironsides, Md., Robin G. and her husband David Baker of Buchanan, Va., Susan D. and her husband Paul G. Goodwin of Charlotte Hall, MD, Brian S. Ford and his wife Sherry of Prince Frederick, Md., and Harry M. Ford, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Woodsboro, Md.; brother Norman L. Nothstein and wife Emily of Allentown, PA; grandchildren David Logan, and Carly Marie Ford, Phillip M. Jarboe, Daniel P., Lauren N. and Olivia L. Goodwin, Jennifer, Brian S. Jr., and Kayla Ford, Joseph, Matthew, and Marie Ford and great-granddaughter Therese Marie Ford.

Family received friends on Sunday, August 8, 2004 from 2 to 6PM with Prayers at 5PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, Maryland where a Funeral Service was held on Monday, August 9, 2004 at 10AM with Matt Grimm officiating. Interment followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery Suitland, Maryland.
