Emmett Warren Carpenter, Cmdr. US Navy
Emmett Warren Carpenter, Cmdr. US Navy (Ret.) 87, of St. Inigoes, MD died on Saturday, August 28, 2004 at his residence.

Born on August 2, 1917 in Spencer, WV, he was the son of the late Warren G. and the late Icy May Brabham Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter served in the US Navy for 24 years.

He is survived by his sister Betty C. Arnett of St. Inigoes, MD and his brother Burhl K. Carpenter of Alma, AR. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Eloise Clarice Carpenter and siblings Ernest R., Elmer E., Edward K., Elery Carpenter and Beulah M. Utzinger.

The family will receive friends at the Leavitt Funeral Home 403 7th Street, Parkersburg, WV on Friday September 3, 2004 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Saturday September 4, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, WV.
