Fat Black Guy Used Gun for Cash Gathering

BRYANS ROAD --- On April 20 at 10:24 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Safeway at 3129 Marshall Hall Road in Bryans Road for the armed robbery report. Investigation revealed the suspect was in line at the register to purchase food. When the cashier, a 56-year-old woman, opened the register to provide the suspect with change, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. The cashier complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a short, stocky black man weighing between 230 and 250 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a dark-colored baseball hat. He has a scar on his left cheek. Gunman Ordered Everyone on the Floor

On April 19 at 8:20 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Murphy's Store at 8505 Port Tobacco Road in Port Tobacco for the armed robbery report. Investigation revealed two suspects entered the store, brandished handguns and ordered everyone inside to the floor. The victims complied and the suspects stole money from the cash register and lottery register. The suspects also stole bottles of liquor and packs of cigarettes and then fled the scene. Both suspects are described as black men in their 30s and were wearing black masks, black gloves and black clothing. One suspect has a large build and the other has a medium build. They were possibly driving a white two-door vehicle.  The victims - a 54-year-old Coltons Point, Md., man, a 54-year-old Nanjemoy woman, a 70-year-old Port Tobacco woman and a 65-year-old Woodford, Va., man - were not injured.
