Kid with Arson in Apartment Building Fire
LEONARDTOWN --- A juvenile has been charged with arson in the set fire of the W
& S Apartments which took place at about 1:30 pm on Friday, August 27th, according to
the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
More than $60,000 in damage to the structure and $25,000 in damage to the contents of an apartment was done in the fire which was set in a living room sofa. Leonardtown Volunteer firefighters were assisted by Hollywood, Valley Lee and Bay District in extinquishing the fire in the apartment of Lashon M. Young located on Lawerence Avenue in Leonardtown.
Deputy Fire Marshal Don Brenneman and Deputy Fire Marshal John Tennyson conducted the investigation and made the arrest. The kid was arrested on Sept. 8th.
