Frank Rhodes Rice, 86 of Leonardtown, MD died on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the St. Mary’s Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD.

Born on December 27, 1917 in Leesburg, VA, he was the son of the late William Hamilton and Ruth Rhodes Rice.

Mr. Rice served his country in the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge. He has been a resident of St. Mary’s County for 60 years. He was employed at Safeway as a meat cutter.

He is survived by a daughter, Eileen R. Quirt and husband John of Oceanside, CA, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth G. Rice in 1977 and a son Frank Rhodes Rice, Jr. in 1978.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 27, from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm. The Reverend Tim Lantzy from Faith Bible Church will officiate. Interment will be held on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 12:30 pm at the Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
