Harold P. Fowler, 75, of Myersville, MD, formerly of Leonardtown, MD, died on November 24, 2004 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born February 12, 1929 in Hendersonville, NC, he was the son of the late Aubrey C. and Harriett Howell Fowler. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anne Long Fowler. He is survived by his daughter Joann Marie Wolf and her husband Robert Andrew of Myersville, MD, his son Dennis Pelham Fowler and his wife Janet Lee of Bowie, MD, 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Joann Miner, Christopher Michael Miner, Jonnathan Parker Fowler, Ashley Ann Fowler and Niki Lin Wolf. He was also preceded in death by a son Harold Parker Fowler, Jr and a sister, Carol Friedman. Mr. Fowler was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Boonsboro, MD and a former member of Christ Episcopal Church, Chaptico, MD. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, retiring after 20 years of service. He was then employed by the National Security Agency, Department of Defense at Ft. George Meade for 20 years. Always compassionate and sensitive to the needs of others, he cared for and nursed his mother-in-law Josephine Long until her death. He enjoyed music, woodworking, gardening and computers. The family received friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick, MD on Sunday, November 28, where a service was held with Rev. Anne O. Weatherholt officiating. The family also received friends on Tuesday, November 30, at Christ Episcopal Church, Chaptico, MD where a funeral service was held with Rev. Jessee Neet officiating. Interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, P.O.
