Heathens Attack New Wawa Store While Still Under
Construction
CALIFORNIA --- Local thieves don't even wait until a new store is open
before placing it under attack. This past weekend, St. Mary's Sheriff Cpl. Jeffrey
McLane reports that the bums went to work on a construction trailer parked at the
construction site of the Wawa being built on Rt. 235 at Rt. 4, where the old Western Steer
turned out a buffet of blandness for twenty years.
On Friday July 23rd, 2004, Cpl. McLane reports that Deputy Eva Snyder responded to the
WaWa Store and reported
that sometime during the night of 07/22-23/04 between 1700-0545 unknown persons attempted
to break into a storage building at the construction site. The building is owned by Mid
Atlantic Construction Group. It was also reported during the same time period equipment at
the construction site owned by Hopkins and Wayson Inc was damaged in an attempt to move
the equipment.
