Hellhole Bars Called on
Carpet

The Brass Rail, scene of fights, drug arrests, and
even a murder where a killer shot a man to death and fired on a St. Mary's Deputy who was
tried to protect the victim who had been beaten by the killer and his pals. Police
are called to this hellhole and other local watering holes on a regular basis.
ST. MARY'S TODAY photo
St. Mary's liquor board calling four of the worst hell-raising bars on the carpet to explain why the police are called, on a almost weekly basis, to their establishments for fights, shootings, stabbings, drug use and even murder. The Brass Rail, the chief hell-hole of St. Mary's County, along with runner-ups Back Road Inn, Monk's Inn and the newest entry in the down and dirty beer hall business, have been called to answer to the liquor board, perhaps even having their licenses put in danger. Will they get a slap on the wrist? When a black bar owner acted rude and stupid towards a deputy, his license was lifted, but murder hasn't been a disqualifying sport at the white owned Brass Rail. Tune in on Thursday for more on this breaking story...
