Hit and Run Driver Drunk But Still Knew Way Home

 WALDORF --- On Nov. 28 at 7:20 p.m., Lt. S. Gregan of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office was traveling south on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf when he witnessed a 2000 Buick strike the rear of a 2005 Honda near St. Charles Parkway and then flee the scene. Lt. Gregan attempted to stop the Buick but the driver, John William Bair, 46, of Waldorf, did not stop. Bair continued south on Leonardtown Road and turned onto Waldorf Forest Drive, where he stopped his vehicle in his driveway. Bair was found to be intoxicated and was arrested without incident. His license was also expired. The driver of the Honda, Felicia Glyniss Edwards, 25, of Waldorf, and her 8-month-old son were treated at the scene and released. Bair was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence, fleeing the scene of a personal injury crash, fleeing and eluding police and driving on an expired license. He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner. Officer J. Garner investigated.

 

Boozing Geezer, Not Only Drunk But Still Drinking Behind Wheel, Say Cops

FAULKNER --- On Nov. 26 at 12:05 p.m., Officer J. Clagett of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Crain Highway near South Faulkner Road in Faulkner on a vehicle that was driving in the center of the road with its flashers on. Officer Clagett determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and identified as Stephen Bryant Goodson, 61, of Largo. He was charged with driving while impaired, driving under the influence and consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving a motor vehicle. Goodson was being held in the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner.
