PG Murders March On 

 

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in Bladensburg, Maryland.

On February 28, 2005, at approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to the 4500 block of 57th Avenue for the report of a shooting.  When officers arrived, they discovered 27-year old Glenn Reuel Wilson, of the 5700 block of Emerson Street in Bladensburg lying outside; he had been shot multiple times in the upper body.  Wilson was transported to Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly where he was pronounced dead a short time later.  His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Maryland for an autopsy.

There are no suspects and investigators are in the process of trying to establish a motive.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit at (301) 772-4925.  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.  A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.  The investigation is continuing.

Homicide on Athena Street in Capitol Heights
 

 

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

On March 2, 2005, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded to the 5900 block of Athena Street in Capitol Heights for the report of a male lying on the ground.  When officers arrived, they discovered 26-year old Delante Lamont Norris, of the #15 block of Cindy Lane in Capitol Heights lying outside; he had been shot in the upper body.  Norris was pronounced dead on the scene -- his body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Maryland for an autopsy.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in Landover, Maryland.

On March 1, 2005 at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of Dodge Park Road in Landover for the report of a shooting.  When they arrived, they discovered 18-year old Carlos Leon Taylor, of the 4400 block of 68th Place in Landover Hills, lying outside. He had been shot in the upper body and was pronounced dead on the scene. His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Maryland for an autopsy.

             Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

On March 6, 2005, at approximately 3:40 a.m., police responded to the 4800 block of Marlboro Pike for the report of a shooting.  When officers arrived, they discovered16-year old Ronald Brooks, of the 4800 block of Alabama Avenue SE Washington, DC,with multiple gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle.  The victim was pronounced dead on the scene and his body was then transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore, Maryland for an autopsy.  There are no suspects and detectives have not yet determined a motive.

             Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in Palmer Park, Maryland.

On March 7, 2005, at approximately 4:40 p.m., police responded to the 1900 block of Bender Court for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, police located29-year old Michael Edward Montgomery, of the 2700 block of Lorring Drive in Forestville, Maryland, lying on the sidewalk.  He had been shot multiple times in the upper body and was pronounced dead on the scene.  His body was then transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore, Maryland for an autopsy.  There are no suspects and a motive has not been determined.

On March 7, 2005, at approximately 11:50 p.m., police responded to the 3800 block of Regency Parkway for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, police located 35-year old Keith Robinson, of that same address, lying on the ground.  He had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced dead on the scene.  His body was then transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Baltimore, Maryland for an autopsy.  There are no suspects and a motive has not been determined.

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department has arrested the suspect wanted in connection with a murder that occurred in the 7700 block of Bender Court in Palmer Park, Maryland.

The suspect, 22-year-old Cedric Maurice Gatling of the 7700 block of Bender Road in Landover, Maryland, was arrested on today’s date in Washington, D.C.  He was wanted in connection with the shooting death of 29-year-old Michael Edward Montgomery who was killed on March 7, 2005.  Gatling, who is being held by authorities in Washington, D.C., will be charged with First Degree Murder once he is extradited to Prince George’s County.
