Hospital Staff Pediatrician
Charged with Child Sex Abuse
Dr. Keith J. Lindemann, a Leonardtown pediatrician on the staff of St. Mary's Hospital with a private practice at an office on Moakley Street, was charged with child sexual abuse of a St. Mary's County girl on Monday.   Dr. Lindemann was jailed at the St. Mary's County Detention Center, according to Sgt. Christopher Medved, and released on $20,000 bond.
Lindemann is a resident of
Cobrums Wharf Rd, Avenue. He is a 1986 graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine and a board certified doctor of pediatrics.  Lindemann may have further charges of sexual assault placed against him as the investigation continues.
St. Mary's Hospital received a complaint about alleged actions of Dr. Lindemann towards a staff member of the hospital but responded by simply circling the wagons and ignoring the incident.  In one alleged incident, Lindemann touched a nurse while performing a circumcision of a baby at the hospital.
Anyone who has been a patient of the doctor who has allegedly been assaulted should contact Sgt. Delmar Smith at the Maryland State Police criminal investigations division at 301-475-4200 x1962.
