James Levi Berry,
James Levi Berry, 57, of
Callaway, MD, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at the Veterans Affairs Medical
Center, Washington, D.C.
Born on February 20, 1947 in Sandgates, MD, he was the son of the late James Turner Berry
and Mary Lucille Mugg.
Mr. Berry has lived in St. Marys County his entire life. He was a self employed
barber, loved the movies, jogging, and was a wonderful counselor and mentor to family and
friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children TaWanna Berry of Bowie, MD and
Brian Allen Berry of Washington, D.C. He is also survived by his siblings Troy Berry of
Waldorf, MD; Vera Fenwick of Forestville, MD; Agnes Moore of Lexington Park, MD; Phyllis
Somerville of Great Mills, MD; Charles Berry of Great Mills, MD; LaVaughn Berry of Miami,
FL; Cherly Casteel of Bowie, MD; Gail Hall of Ft. Washington, MD; Kenneth Thompson of
Lexington Park, MD; Anthony Thompson of Great Mills, MD; Cory Dyson of Lexington Park, MD;
James Dyson of Lexington Park, MD; and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. 22955 Hollywood Rd.
Leonardtown, MD on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 from 5:00 8:00 p.m. with prayers at
7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at the Gospel
Tabernacle of Prayer, Clements, MD at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Jones officiating.
Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Fobbs, Josh Baldwin, LaMont Saxon, Eric King, John
Butler, and Charles Casteel.
