James Robert Dorsey, Sr
James Robert Dorsey, Sr., 82, of Clements, MD, died on Monday, November 1, 2004 at St. Mary’s Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD.

Born on February 16, 1922 in Clements, MD, he was the son of the late Harry and Rosetta Holly Dorsey.

He is survived by his children Mary Annie Winters of Mechanicsville, MD; Alice G. Winters of Mechanicsville, MD; Charles A. Dorsey of Oxon Hill, MD; Harry I. Dorsey of Capitol Heights, MD; Doris C. Lane of Bowie, MD; Rosetta L. Barnes of Newport News, VA; and Thomas T. Dorsey of Lexington Park, MD. He is also survived by his sister Mary Elizabeth Forbes of Seat Pleasant, MD; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great –great grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Mary Virgin Dorsey and his son James Robert Dorsey, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church 22800 Washington Street Leonardtown, MD from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Rory Conley officiating. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Leonardtown, MD.
