|
| ATLANTIC CITY,
N.J. (June 27, 2005) A man was rescued yesterday afternoon after being
stuck in a muddy marsh for several hours. John M. Perez, 41, was riding a friends jet ski near St. Georges Thoroughfare when he ran aground behind Rum Point in the vicinity of Brigantine Bridge. After waiting several hours, Perez flagged down a patrol boat from Coast Guard Station Atlantic City. The patrol boat was unable to get to the man due to the mud and called Sector Field Office Atlantic City. A rescue helicopter from Air Station Atlantic City was deployed to the scene where the man was hoisted to safety in a basket. Perez was brought back to the air station where he was evaluated by local EMS and released. |
