John Steven Claussen, AMCS, USN, 41, of Lexington Park, MD died on Sunday, April 18, 2004 at his residence.

Born on November 18, 1962 in Albert Lea, MN, he was the son of and Darlene Felber Faber and Forrie Claussen and wife Gretchen all of Albert Lea, MN.

John was serving his country since 1983 in the United States Navy. In 2001 his orders brought him to Patuxent River Naval Air Station from Sigonella, Italy. He was a member of the Patuxent Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Ann Clelland Claussen, a daughter, Nicole Claussen of Williamsburg, VA, two sons, Stevie Claussen and John Claussen, II both of Lexington Park, MD, three siblings, Cherie Seyser, of Albert Lea, MN, Terry Claussen of Champlain, MN and Scott Claussen of Cottage Grove, MN.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at the Bonnerup Funeral Home, 525 W Clark Street, Albert Lea, MN, A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2004 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, MN. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea, MN.
