John Wesley Holley

John Wesley Holley, 89, of Ridge, MD, died on May 22, 2005 at his residence.

Born on January 1, 1916 in Charles County, MD, he was the son of the late Lewis and Lilly Stewart Holley.

Mr. Holley was a driver for the Schmidt Baking Company. He was a member of the Knights of St. Jerome and the Knights of Columbus, a member of the St. Peter Claver Men’s Choir and the NAACP.

He is survived by three daughters, Celeste V. Holley of Baltimore, MD, Veronica D. Holley-Hill of Ridge, MD, Jacqueline J. Holley-Kennedy of Baltimore, MD and a son, John C. Holley of Baltimore, MD and Ridge, MD. in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine M. Biscoe Holley on August 7, 1993.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Claver Church, Ridge, MD with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend Damian Shadwell will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
