Joseph Harold Hyde Sr.
Joseph Harold “Sonny” Hyde Sr. of Charlotte Hall, Maryland died at his home on Thursday, September 22, 2005. He was 73 years old.

Born October 17, 1931 in Brandywine, Maryland to the late Ora King and Charles R. Hyde. He served in the U. S. Military and then worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Earnshaw Brothers up to the time of his retirement. He loved going to yard sales and flea markets.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hyde is preceded in death by his children Robert Marvin “Marty” Hyde and Betty Joe Hyde; brother Charles Hyde.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Pauline Hyde; daughter Debra Gray of Silver Spring, MD; sons Joseph H. Hyde Jr. of Frederick, MD, Charles Hyde of Mechanicsville, MD and Paul Hyde of Charlotte Hall, MD; sister Doris Lam; brother Jerry Hyde; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

Friends received at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Rd. Charlotte Hall, Maryland on Monday, September 26, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8PM and on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 from 11:30AM until time of service at 12:30PM. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, Maryland. Mr. Hyde’s grandsons to serve as Pallbearers are Jeffrey, Jason, Bradley, Christopher, Robert and Michael.
