Julia “Buster” Elizabeth Goode Hill
Julia “Buster” Elizabeth Goode Hill 87, of Bushwood, MD died September 7, 2004 in St. Mary’s Nursing Center. Born February 12, 1917 in Milestown, MD she was the daughter of the late Mary Jane Hill and Walter B. Goode, Sr. She was the loving wife of the late James Allan Hill who preceded her in death on April 1, 1969. She was the loving mother of Mary Ann Hayden and her husband Rholand of Bushwood, MD and Joseph Allan Hill and his wife Mabel of Charlotte Hall, MD. She is survived by her brother Arthur L. “Biggie” Goode of Coltons Point, MD and her sister Teresa Miller of Chaptico, MD also by 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her brothers Walter B. “Boy” Goode, Jr. and James Robert “Bobby” Goode and sister Maude V. Vallandingham. Mrs. Hill attended Margarent Brent High School and was a life long St. Mary’s County resident. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 9 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home from 5 – 8 PM with prayers being said at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 10 at 11 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Francis J. Early officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Hayden, Allan Hayden, Christopher Hayden, Kara Higgs, J.C. Vallandingham and Artie Goode.
