Hollywood Vol. Fire Dept. Squad truck clipped car while responding to another crash on St. Andrew's Church Road on Tuesday. No one appeared to be injured in this minor wreck while a sedan was demolished and passengers were hurt in a wreck which took place at the entrance to Walden Drug Counseling Center. |

| Man Shot Lexington Park --- It's Saturday Night at the OK Corral....It's St. Mary's County and here we go again...the weather is keeping the Maryland State Police helicopter down and a victim of a gunshot is being transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital. A gunshot to the stomach has this person on the short list of survival, depending on how fast a chopper can get to Leonardtown and take him off to a trauma center. A man in a Mervyn's Drywall work-truck
hauling a boat tried to pass two vehicles going
UP the hill (eastbound) on Rt. 6. A
woman and her 2 year old son came over the crest of the hill
(westbound) and the man in the truck collided with her as he
was passing.
Maryland State Police flew the woman and child out. The man

Letter to the editor: A drunk driver killed my sister and changed my family forever ![]() DWI Killer: After several DWI arrests, Thomas Cyrus Jr. went out on Rt. 5 once more, following a stop at the Green Door in Park Hall, and killed a year-old baby when he slammed into her mother's car at the curve at Thompson's Orchard. In this photo, from June 30, 1991, Cyrus complains that no one is tending to his minor scrapes while rescue workers fight to save the life of the infant, who turned gray and died. ST. | More Dukes of Hazard in St. Mary's Police are ready to take the guy out...bump him off the road.... Police chase on Saturday morning on Rt. 5, driver may have had gun, drugs, cops put out stop sticks in Leonardtown as driver fled north....is believed to have thrown out gun at Cedar Lane....driver now fleeing northbound in the southbound lanes of Rt. 5 with flattened tires after hitting stop sticks,...still doing 30 mph, coming up on Rt. 243....riding on the rims, no front tires are left....fleeing driver has now passed Banneker Elementary in Loveville, passed SHA garage, no tires, just metal....now past Third Base and on towards Morganza...fleeing driver has now wrecked and is off the road, the deputies in the chase are reported okay....police officer may be injured in the wreck near Margaret Brent Middle School....neck injuries for one deputy... |
Armed Robbery LEXINGTON PARK ---- Pizza Hut delivery driver robbed at knifepoint on Franklin Road in Patuxent Park...just about midnight on Friday, a driver was robbed of his cash, his cell phone, and his pizzas by two or three black males who approached him after he attempted delivery of pizza to a home on Franklin Road. |
