Latest PG Murder Victim Identified

The Prince George’s County Police Department reports that they have  identified the victim from a Suitland homicide as 29-year old Benjamin Washington, of the 900 block of 49th Street, NE, Washington, D.C. On December 18, 2004, at approximately 1:00 a.m., police responded to the 5300 block of Woodacres Drive in Suitland for the report of a body lying in the road.  When officers arrived, they discovered a male victim lying on the ground.  He was shot and pronounced dead on the scene.  His body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, Maryland for an autopsy.

There are no suspects and a motive has not yet been determined.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit at (301) 772-4925.  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.  A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.  The investigation is continuing.
