Leonard Jerome Miles, Sr.

Leonard Jerome Miles, Sr., 53, of Lexington Park, MD, died on Saturday, December 25, 2004 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Born on December 1, 1951 in Mechanicsville, MD, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Holt Miles. Mr. Miles worked in ground maintenance at the Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship for 36 years.  He is survived by his wife Marie Miles, whom he married on August 30, 1991 in Leonardtown, MD, two daughters, Kimberly Miles of Baltimore, MD, Shanna Miles of La Plata, MD, two sons, Leonard Jerome Miles, Jr., of Lexington Park, MD, Jonathan Miles of Waldorf, MD, three step-children, Donna Mason of Lexington Park, MD, Thomas Mason, Jr. of Woodbridge, VA, Curtis Jerome Mason of Lexington Park, MD, four sisters, Maryann Taylor of Lexington Park, MD, Eleanor Moland of Ft. Worth, TX, Evelyn Wilson of Leonardtown, MD, Margaret Bonds of Callaway, MD, six brothers, John Miles, Jr., Joseph F. Miles, Raymond Miles, David Miles all of Hollywood, MD, Clarence Miles of Leonardtown, MD, Raymond Miles of Temple Hills, MD, eight grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends on Friday, December 31, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Rory Conley will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be John Taylor, Flicker Young, Joseph Young, Charles Bowman, James Davis and Adrian Young. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Alphonso Bowmam, Johnson Swales and Clarence Miles.  Arrangements by the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD.
