LUSBIAN ARRESTED FOR ARSON

PRINCE FREDRICK —An investigation conducted by Deputy State Fire Marshals has resulted with a Calvert County woman being charged with 1st-degree arson.

Investigators charged Mary Sue Raeke, 43 of Lusby with 1st degree arson. The charges stem from an intentional fire being set at the home where she and her boy friend shared. The fire on October 10, 2006 at 1218 Golden West Way caused an estimated $150,000.00 damage to the two-story home. Deputy Fire Marshals determined that a fire was set in a basement bedroom.

Investigators contend a domestic incident between Ms. Raeke and her boy friend precipitated the incident. There were no reported injuries.

Ms. Raeke currently is being held at the Calvert County Detention Center on arson and other unrelated charges.

If convicted she is facing up to 30-years in jail and a fine not exceeding $50,000.00 or both.
