Mae Lorraine Cross

Mae Lorraine Cross of Gaithersburg, MD died on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in La Plata, MD. She was 79 years old.

Born April 28, 1926 in Aquasco, MD to the late Emma Mae Canter Cross and Jennings Columbus Cross Sr. She was a retired Accountant and Bookkeeper for the Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Animal Industries for 38 years. She liked to travel and enjoyed eating hard crabs. Miss Cross was known as the family caregiver, especially to her parents. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Baden, MD.

In addition to her parents, Miss Cross was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy M. Canter; brothers Stanley L. Cross and Raymond R. Cross; devoted friend Albert J. Delfield.

She is survived by her sisters Faye C. Oliver and Virginia C. Clodfelter; brothers Jennings C. Cross Jr. and B. Ralph Cross; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family to receive friends on Monday, January 23, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road Charlotte Hall, MD. Funeral Services 12Noon Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the Immanuel United Methodist Church 17400 Aquasco Road Brandywine, MD. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens Waldorf, MD.
