Valley Lee Man Charged with Rape of Girl, 15; Called Her From Jail
LEONARDTOWN --- According to Cpl. Roger Redmond of the Maryland State Police on November 12th, 2004 Detectives from the joint criminal investigation squad of the State Police and the St. Mary's Sheriff's Dept. apprehended William Johnson Hall, a 44 year old male from Valley Lee, St. Mary's County, Maryland. The subject was served with a Grand Jury Indictment for one (1) count of Sex Offense 3rd Degree and one (1) count of Child Sexual Abuse. The investigation conducted by Detective 1/C Clay Safford revealed William Hall had engaged in sexual relations with a 15 year old female on more than one occasion from July thru September 2004 in Valley Lee, Maryland.
William Hall was further charged on November 1st, 2004 with two (2) counts of Violating a Protective Order after he made numerous phone calls from the Detention Center to the victim's residence. Hall was released from the Detention Center on November 5th, 2004 by the District Court for St. Mary's County. On November 12th, 2004 Detective Safford also charged William Hall with an additional count of Violating a Protective Order after Hall attempted to contact the female listed on the Protective Order again on November 10th, 2004.
Hall is currently incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center awaiting his appearance before the Circuit Court for St. Mary's County, Maryland.
