Man Dead in Booze

GREAT MILLS --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Deputy Mark Clark reports that on 12-15-05
at 9:37 pm St. Mary's County Sheriff's Deputies investigated a single vehicle
collision on Point Lookout road .04 tenths of a mile south of Adkins Road Great
Mills. Witnesses report that the driver of a 1985 Ford Mustang was
traveling southbound on Point Lookout road and failed to drive in a single lane
then exited the right roadside.
Once off the roadway the vehicle struck a tree head on
causing severe damage to the vehicle and causing fatal injuries to himself.
There was no one else in the vehicle. Alcohol and driver error are believed to
be contributing factors in the collision.
Gary S. Hardesty Sr., 46, of Lexington Park, died at scene and he was the owner
of the vehicle.
