Man with Bogus Cashier's Checks Clean Out Calvert
Residents of Pricey Yukons

PRINCE FREDERICK --- Investigators with the Calvert County Sheriff's Dept. and State Police report that on 12/21/2005 TFC Bevard, Prince Frederick Barrack, took a report from Phillip Boyd, of Owings, in reference to a stolen vehicle. Boyd advised police that he had listed his GMC Yukon for sale and received a call from a subject asking him about the vehicle. The subject responded to Boyd’s residence and identified himself as James Taylor. The suspect presented the victim with an Andrews Federal Credit Union Cashier’s Check as payment for the Yukon.
On 12/23/2005 TFC Scott Bennett, Prince Frederick Barrack, took a report from Lindsey Shaner, Chesapeake Beach, Maryland in regards to a stolen vehicle. Shaner had also listed his GMC Yukon for sale and was contacted by the same subject. The subject responded to Shaner’s residence took the vehicle for a test drive and then presented the victim with a Cashier’s Check from Andrews Federal Credit Union.
On 12/27/2005 the suspect, who police identify as Lester Aubrey Lee Jr., returned to Calvert County and used a counterfeit Andrews Federal Credit Union check to purchase an ATV from a victim in St. Leonard.
The suspect is described as an African American Male, 6’00”, 220 lbs., with curly hair and gold front teeth. Lester Aubrey Lee Jr., is currently wanted in 7 other jurisdictions for thefts involving the Andrew Credit Union Checks. He continues to pass the checks throughout the State.
