after
shovel
battle
in
love
triangle.

A
man
who
just
got
out
of
jail
on
Friday
for
domestic
violence
and
assault
decided
to
return
to
the
scene
of
the
crime
early
on
Monday
morning,
bringing
along
a
shovel
as
his
means
of
entry
and
weapon
of
choice.
St.
Mary’s
Sheriff
Tim
Cameron
reports
that
Jerimiah
Watson,
31,
of
Leonardtown,
went
to
the
residence
of
his
ex-girlfriend,
Tina
Dean,
at
about
4:00
am
today,
located
on
Premier
Drive,
and
used
a
shovel
to
beat
his
way
into
the
home.
Once
inside,
police
alleged
that
Watson
attacked
Christopher
Patty
with
the
shovel.
Police
say
that
Dean
retrieved
a
handgun
and
began
firing
at
Watson.
Watson
hit
Dean
with
the
shovel
and
disarmed
her
and
got
the
gun
and
fired
on
and
murdered
Patty.
Watson
then
aimed
the
gun
at
Dean
and
fired
but
the
gun
jammed
and
did
not
fire.
Watson
ran
from
the
house
while
police
were
called.
“We
had
officers
search
around
the
area
and
found
Watson
suffering
from
his
gunshot
wounds
nearby
and
he
was
flown
to
PG
Shock
Trauma
where
he
is
under
guard
in
critical
condition,”
said
Sheriff
Cameron.
Dean
was
taken
to
St.
Mary’s
Hospital
for
treatment
of
her
wounds.
Cameron
said
that
Watson
was
arrested
on
Nov.
20th
and
released
from
jail
on
Nov.
21st.
