Man Comes Back for More Fighting After Getting Out Jail…

kills ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, beats her, gets shot in the process

Jeremiah Watson, 31, charged with murder of Christopher Patty after shovel battle in love triangle.

DAMERON ---  A man who just got out of jail on Friday for domestic violence and assault decided to return to the scene of the crime early on Monday morning, bringing along a shovel as his means of entry and weapon of choice.

St. Mary’s Sheriff Tim Cameron reports that Jerimiah Watson, 31, of Leonardtown, went to the residence of his ex-girlfriend, Tina Dean, at about 4:00 am today, located on Premier Drive, and used a shovel to beat his way into the home.

Once inside, police alleged that Watson attacked Christopher Patty with the shovel.  Police say that Dean retrieved a handgun and began firing at Watson.

Watson hit Dean with the shovel and disarmed her and got the gun and fired on and murdered Patty.

Watson then aimed the gun at Dean and fired but the gun jammed and did not fire.  Watson ran from the house while police were called.

“We had officers search around the area and found Watson suffering from his gunshot wounds nearby and he was flown to PG Shock Trauma where he is under guard in critical condition,” said Sheriff Cameron.

Dean was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment of her wounds.

Cameron said that Watson was arrested on Nov. 20th and released from jail on Nov. 21st.
