ManTech Awarded $49.8 Million Engineering Support Contract From the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division

FAIRFAX, Va.--June 14, 2004--ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT), a leading provider of innovative technologies and solutions focused on mission-critical national security programs for the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, the Department of State, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security and other U.S. federal government customers, announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) to provide continuing support for reliability, maintainability, engineering, technical and administrative services. The contract is for one-year, with four additional option years, giving the program a total potential value of $49.8 million.

Under the competitively awarded contract, ManTech will support the U.S. Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR) engineering department providing reliability, maintainability, testability, quality assurance, diagnostic, and system safety analysis during the design, development, production, and in-service cycles of naval aircraft and their systems. Work will be performed at NAVAIR locations in Patuxent River, MD, Lakehurst, NJ, and Lexington Park, MD.

"One of the key reasons we were awarded this contract was because of our strong record of past performance with this customer," said Kenneth J. Farquhar, president, ManTech Systems Engineering Corporation. "Additionally, we are thoroughly familiar with the design, development and production cycles of Naval aircraft acquisition. We have developed specialized tools to assist with the prediction of aging aircraft component failure, and we have more than 30 years of experience of successfully supporting the naval aviation community."
