Margaret C. Byrne, 93 of Leonardtown, MD died on Tuesday,
September 7, 2004 at the St. Marys Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.
She was born on April 28, 1911 in Weymouth, MA the oldest child of 14. Mrs. Byrne resided
in Weymouth for 90 years. She was a homemaker; hand stitched for Clapp Shoe and a former
employee of Brady Enterprises in Weymouth, MA. She spent her last 2 ½ years at Cedar Lane
Apartments where she flourished in the kind fellowship of her peers and the staff. She
enjoyed the warmth and beauty of St. Marys County.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara B. Wolf of East Weymouth, MA and Joyce B. Savage
and husband Jack of Leonardtown, MD, three grandchildren, R. Connolly of Seaford, VA, Marc
Savage of Hatfield, PA and Cynthia Flatley of California, MD, five great grandchildren,
Kira and Alisa Connolly, Sean and Rebecca Savage and Caitlin Flatley also survive. In
addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Byrne whom she
married on April 24, 1932 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, East Weymouth, MA,
a daughter, Janet Ann Byrne, and a grand daughter Sheilah Connolly.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 2, 2004 at 10:30 am at the St.
Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. The Reverend Rory Conley will be the celebrant.
Inurnment will be private.
