| Martha Louise Dotterer, 83, of
Manassas, VA, formerly of Piney Point, MD, died in Manassas, VA, on June 8, 2004. Born
June 30, 1922 in Palmer, IL, she was the daughter of the late Ethrun Hilary Arthur and
Catherine Leatha Arthur. She was preceded in death by her husband, CW4 John Howard
Dotterer (USN Ret) on May 4, 1979, whom she married in Great Lakes, IL in 1947. She was
the mother of Jon Michael of Omaha, NE., Joseph Henry of Manassas, VA, and Jack Howard of
Newport News, VA. Mrs. Dotterer served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1947. She
moved to St. Mary’s County from Norfolk, VA in 1955 where she was employed as the
Head of Purchasing at the Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2004, at St. George’s Catholic
Church in Valley Lee, MD with Father Mark officiating. Interment will follow at the
Fairview Cemetery in Boyertown, PA. |
