Mary Elizabeth Keating Hanks, 74
Mary Elizabeth Keating Hanks, 74, of Hollywood, MD died on Friday June 25, 2004 at her residence.

Born on January 13, 1930 in Porte Aux Prince, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Edmund Bernard and Marguerite Bonneau Keating.

Mrs. Hanks moved to St. Mary’s County in 1978 from McLean VA. She was a member of the Southern Maryland Sailing Association. She sailed many miles at the side of her husband Norris Jay Hanks whom she married on October 6, 1950 in Sherman, TX. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, David Edmund Hanks of West Hills, CA and Gail Bonneau Hanks Peters of Richmond, VA, three grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a son William Norris Hanks.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 2:00 pm at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
