Police Find Body In Woods
St. Mary's Sheriff's Lt. Doolan, the former
Assistant Sheriff and currently a duty officer with the agency, told ST. MARY'S TODAY that
the search for Wanda Lee Denton which had taken place in Spring Ridge over the past 48
hours has been suspended.
"I am not authorized to say if the woman has been found but the search is called off,
we expect to have more information later," said Doolan.
Police sources say that the body found in a wooded area near St. James is likely to be
Denton and that a funeral director was called to the scene to remove a body. She was last seen on June 13th, 2004, at approximately 4:00 a.m. in
the Spring Ridge Lexington Park area. She suffered from a medical condition
requiring medication, and it was presumed she wandered on foot from her residence in an
unknown direction, reported the Sheriff's Department.
America Arrested by St. Mary's Deputy
It had to happen sooner or later. The county which has the distinction of a United States
Court of Appeals likening several of the command staff of the local sheriff's deputies to
the Ku Klux Klan has another reason to gain notice. America was placed under
arrest in St. Mary's County, Maryland.

State DNR Sheds Old Logo in Favor of New Design
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources got rid of it's old logo, one
which looked much like a design drawn up in the old Soviet Union. While some folks wonder
what was wrong with the old one and fret over the Republican Administration of Gov. Bob
Ehrlich spending money on new decals and letterheads, the new logo is a reality. Here it
is:

Socialist Claims Carver School
Located Next to Environmental Dumping Ground Due to Racial Makeup of Students
Look at the racial makeup
of this school. The 'dumping ground' that Bob Lewis, a Green Party candidate for
commissioner and anti-growth advocate, who once was a self-proclaimed Socialist Party
stalwart, says is next to the school is simply a gravel mining operation. Other
gravel mines are located in the center of St. Mary's County in Helen, surrounded by
neighborhoods where the average price hovers around $250,000. St. Mary's
Commissioner Dan Raley is a neighbor to the new Carver school about to open in Great
Mills.

Ehrlich Moves Woman Superintendent Out
of
DNR Police Post to Make Room for Political Pal
ANNAPOLIS --- Being the first
female to be the superintendent of the Maryland Natural Resources Police didn't last long
for Col. Tammy Broll. She was moved aside last week by Governor Robert Ehrlich so a
friend of his who had just been demoted by State Police Superintendent Col. Tim Hutchins
could have a place to land. Named as Maryland's new DNR chief is recently retired Maryland
State Police Capt. Mark Chaney. Chaney, who had the rank of Lt. Colonel as
chief of field operations for the former State Police chief who pleaded guilty to
corruption charges, now gets the rank of colonel at DNR. Col. Broll will now get the
rank of Lt. Col. and be assigned as a commander to make room for Chaney, who had been
demoted by Hutchins.
