CALLAWAY --- Maryland State Police report
that a really nasty bimbo paid a visit to a local family that ended in her being jailed.

Stalled Train Halts Traffic on Billingsley Road
WALDORF --- A major
road in Waldorf was shut down on Wednesday evening due to a broken down train blocking the
tracks. Charles Sheriff's officers were dispatched to both sides of the rail
crossing to let motorists know that it would be much later before the train would be able
to run again and clear the grade crossing.

Charles Sheriff's Officer Rammed Two Vehicles from Behind, Not Charged
WHITE PLAINS --- Anyone following too
closely to stop for vehicles ahead of them are usually charged on the spot if they are not
hospitalized. But at this point a Charles County Sheriff's Sergeant who slammed into the
rear of two vehicles which stopped for an ambulance has not been issued a ticket.
The Charles Sheriff's Department says that the crash from Tuesday is under investigation.

Sofa Caught Fire in Mobile Home
Maryland State Fire Marshal Don
Brenneman reports that a mobile home on Nancy Court in Lexington Park caught fire from a
candle which lit off a sofa in the living room at 2 am Sunday. The fire was put out by Bay
District Volunteers. The fire caused an estimated $10,000 in damage.

Drunk Driver Mowed Down Trooper on Rt. 50; 39th
Trooper to Die in Line of Duty
BOWIE --- Trooper First Class Anthony Jones,
50, died at 2:00 am Sunday morning on Rt. 50 when a drunk driver disregarded emergency
lights on two patrol cars at an accident scene and plowed through the area of a wreck,
striking the trooper and throwing his body several hundred yards, according to Maryland
State Police spokesman Maj. Greg Shipley.
