 McKay's Bull on Buck

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter in regard to the bull that Commissioner McKay is spewing. When I read the story in Wednesday paper (Enterprize) it was no surprise to me that McKay was trying to pass the buck onto someone else other then his child. I was surprised at the stupidity of his lies though, did he think that the truth would not come out?

I almost fell out of my chair when I read the TRUE story that St. Mary's Today wrote (if you want the REAL story this paper is where you will get it) I am waiting to see now just how much slack the Commissioners son will be cut, and how much harsher the Adkins boy will be treated because his daddy is not an elected official for this county.

I mean come on we all know that is how this county works, there is always a fall guy to take the heat for the "Good OLE Boys" and their Family & Friends. I really don't understand how it is that McKay is not being charged with something, he held evidence in a government office for crying out loud. I don't buy the whole "I put it where it belonged, in the governments hands" that is the most absurd line of BS i have ever heard. when i read that the first person that came to mind was the azz kissing Eddie Haskell from" Leave it to Beaver" Did McKay actually think anyone would fall for that line of BS?

Tell it like it is You tried to hide it from the police and the public. You would not have given it up at all had Mr. Adkins not told that he gave it to you, What  were you holding it for? A rainy day? For a memento of how you thought your son got away with making fake money? I don't get the whole hiding it in a book at the government office, what was the purpose of it?

I don't buy the putting it in government hands because it stayed in your hands and no one else's until he was caught. I also can't help but notice that Eric McKay has said nothing, he is an adult correct? I would be interested to hear what he has to say about this whole thing Before he is told what to say and not to say. I also think Mr. McKay owes the Adkins family an apology for stating in Wednesdays paper that it was not His son who did this but the Wrong crowd he got hung up with, I mean it was Eric McKays computer and dryer and home all the evidence was found in, correct? Or should I say the house in which he resides?

I guess what we have here is a clear case of the McKays "Passing the Buck" in more ways then one. I will   be watching this story to see how it pans out in the end. Will the Adkins boy take the fall , or will Eric McKay take his punishment like a man and maybe teach his daddy a lesson or two about being Honest?

Or ,will daddy McKay try to use his political influence and get his son off without so much as a slap on the wrist? I can only hope this will open the eyes of some of the people who voted for McKay. It has shown me that he is just another liar who wants to make important decisions that will affect me and my family, well i was raised to know that "If you lie you will cheat, if you cheat you will steal and if you steal you are a thief!"

 Thank you,

 LA. Walls
