Head-On Crash Involving PG Police Officer (Oct. 12) 11:40 p.m. Trooper 8 is flying one victim from a head-on crash involving a county police car at Brown Station Road and White House Road in the Kettering
area.  The officer is injured, but condition is unknown.

Shoot Him Three Times If You Love Him
(Oct. 12) 11:20 a.m. 6457 Pennsylvania Av, District Heights, P.G. Co.
Man shot 3+ times.  Flown to trauma center.  Lookout for a suspect who fled on foot.

False Alarm at Longworth
House Office Building on Capitol Hill (Oct. 12) --- Alarm appears to have been activated by a broken water pipe in the women's rest room on the basement level.  Building was evacuated. Canine sweep apparently routine.   Re-entry authorized starting with members and staff.

Fire Chief Crashes (Oct. 11) 10:56 pm  Fire/EMS Department Collision – Silver Hill Road and Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland ---A Volunteer Chief Officer returning from a previous fire on Torque Street was involved in a motor vehicle crash at Silver Hill Road and Pennsylvania Avenue.  A total of four patients, including three civilians, were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.  Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.
Ambulance Crashes (Oct. 11
) 0553 Hours, Fire/EMS Department Collision – Baltimore Avenue and Berwyn Road, College Park An ambulance from the College Park Station responding to a motor vehicle crash on the outer loop of the Capital Beltway at Route 95 was involved in a collision at Route 1 and Berwyn Road.  There were no injuries.  Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.

   (Oct. 11) 11 p.m. 712 Brandywine St SE (DC) Man in his late teens or early 20's found shot in rear alley.  Taken
to hospital in cardiac arrest.  Suspected homicide.

Hoods flee back to the Hood after Shooting Man in Stomach Oct. 11, 7:30 p.m. FRIENDLY MARKET INC, 11500 OLD FORT RD, SOUTH FORT WASHINGTON, Man shot in stomach at this address, possibly with a 40-cal gun. State police helicopter flying him from Friendly High School.  PGPD Air-1 searching for suspects.   Lookout for two men, fled area on foot.  Both men, late teens, early 20's with braids in their hair.
Car Flipped at Brandywine Oct. 11, 14800-blk Crain Highway near Short-Cut Road. Paramedics and firefighters responded to a single vehicle crash that resulted in two patients being ejected from the vehicle and a third remaining trapped in the wreckage.  All three adult patients were flown to area trauma centers.  A search for a possible fourth victim thrown from the vehicle was negative.  One firefighter suffered a minor injury while conducting the search.  Maryland State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
DC Carjacking: Oct. 11 -- 5:45 p.m. NW DC 17th and "N" Streets NW, Taken in an unarmed carjacking is a tan 2003 Toyota Four-Runner with MD 30-day temp tags.  Last seen on "L" Street.
Flipped Kayak:Two Possibly Dead
(Oct. 11) 11:45 a.m., Neabsco Creek at the Potomac, Prince William County Reported as a man under a capsized kayak.   Possible second victim as well.  One is confirmed in cardiac arrest. Fire boats from Fairfax and Prince William counties assisting.

(Oct. 10) Just before 2 a.m., 8813 Blue Smoke Dr., Montgomery Village/Gaithersburg area of Mont. Co. Victim found with wound to chest.
Triple Fatal (Oct. 10) 3:45 a.m. triple fatal, 4041 Cardinal Crest Dr., vehicle left road and into a back yard.  Two children and one adult killed.Montc

Ace-Checking Cashing, 800-blk Southern Ave.  This is on the D.C./P.G. line near Oxon Hill-Glassmanor area. Man found shot in head at this business.  D.C. police chased suspect vehicle through D.C. and back into P.G.  Bailout with five arrests at 19th Avenue near Culbera Dr in Glassmanor. P.G. homicide and D.C. and P.G. police trying to piece it together. Shooting appears to have happened in Maryland.
Bank Robbery Attempt
(12:41 pm Oct. 5, 2004 )at BB&T located in 5100 block of Wisconsin Ave. NW DC, man wearing all black handed a note to a teller... He implied he had a weapon.  Believed to be in his 20's or30's.Fled south on Wisconsin Avenue, but got no $$.
Rape in Old Town Alexandria

2:25 a.m. Sunday, Alex PD is investigating a reported attempt rape at 718 S. Washington St.  A Hispanic man supposedly attacked a woman in Olde Towne Alexandria.

ST. GEORGE'S ISLAND --- Once home to a large hotel which was battered by hurricanes in the 1930's and left behind by vacationers who were eager to cross the Bay Bridge when it opened in 1954, St. George's Island may soon become home to a new hotel, built at the present site of Evans Seafood.  A proposal is now being made by the property owner to the St. Mary's Planning commission.
