LA PLATA --- The Maryland State Fire Marshal has determined that the fire on Thursday at a vacant office building on Charles Street in La Plata, was a case of arson.   Four State Fire Marshals using a K-9 dog searched the gutted interior of the two story office building and found that the fire had been set by an incendiary device.   The fire was extinquished by La Plata Fire Dept., assisted by Waldorf, Marbury, Bryans Road, Bel Alton, Newburg, and Potomac Heights.  Anyone who may have seen anyone in the area at the time is asked to call the Fire Marshal at 410-535-8845 or the Arson Hotline at 1-800-492-7529.
