Obituaries November 2000

Margaret Floyd Swain, 85, of El Paso, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2000 at William Boamount Army Hospital of Heart Failure after a long illness. Born on April 28, 1915 in Leonardtown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Erick and Eleanor Miller Floyd. Mrs. Swain is survived by her husband; James Wilton Swain of El Paso, Texas, two daughters; Julia Allen of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lyn DeLa Vega of El Paso, Texas, a son; Erick Swain of Virginia Beach, Virginia, two sisters; Mary Elizabeth Bogie of Leonardtown, Maryland, Veronica Nash of Arlington, Virginia, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son; James Gregory Swain of El Paso, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2000 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady’s Catholic Church, Medley’s Neck, 41348 Medley’s Neck Road. Leonardtown, Maryland. The Reverend Robert Kosty will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Our Lady’s Church, P.O. Box 111, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650. Irene Alexandrovna Kampf
, 83, of Valley Lee, Maryland, died at her son’s residence in St. Inigoes, Maryland on Thursday, November 30, 2000.Born on March 21, 1917 in Russia to the late Maria Golybov and Alexander Goronowsky. Mrs. Kampf moved from Satellite Beach, Florida and has lived in this area since 1994. Mrs. Kampf was a Homemaker. She also loves gardening and enjoys being with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Kampf is survived by her husband; George Kampf, whom she married in June of 1946 in Germany. She is also survived by two sons; Alex Kampf and wife, Betty Jo of St. Inigoes, Maryland and Nick Kampf and wife, Lola of Portland, Maine, and two grandchildren; Katelyn and Daniel Kampf, both of Portland, Maine. Family and friends will be received Friday, December 1, 2000 from 6 - 9 p.m. with prayers recited at 8:00 p.m. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650. Interment will be private.
