While New Boyfriend Goes Out Bathroom Window
RIDGE --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Cpl. Deborah Milam reports that on
November 6, 2004 at 9:41 in the morning Dfc. Christopher Morley
responded to an apartment in Ridge for a reported dispute. On arrival
Shannon J. Herbert of Ridge and Daniel Holley Dement of Lexington Park
both advised they were assaulted by each other. Dfc. Morley's
investigation revealed that Daniel Holley Dement age 37 went to the
apartment of Shannon Herbert in Ridge and spoke to her in front of the
residence. He suspected there was someone else inside the residence and
entered uninvited. He forced a bathroom door that was locked only to
find the guest had exited the bathroom window onto the roof. Daniel
Dement found belongings of the guest, Samuel R. Simmons of Ridge and
using a kitchen knife, cut and destroyed the blue jeans belonging to
Simmons. The damage to the blue jeans was estimated at $20.00. Dfc.
Morley arrested Daniel Holley Dement and charged him with Burglary and
Malicious Destruction of Property. He was taken to the St. Mary's County
Detention Center and arraigned before a District Court Commissioner. He
was released on Personnel Bond.
