Paula Ann Phillips
Paula Ann Phillips, 23, of Hollywood, MD died January 8, 2005 in Mechanicsville, MD. Born September 9, 1981 in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of Beverly A. Phillips and Paul F. Phillips of Hollywood, MD. She was the loving mother of Damen A. Phillips of Hollywood, MD; She is survived by her aunts Valerie Speed, Karen Justus and Betty Snell; and her uncles Carl Phillips, John Phillips and Clyde Phillips; grandmothers Harriet Phillips of Franklin, NC and Virginia Justus of Rabun Gap, GA. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Fate Justus. Miss Phillips moved to St. Mary’s County from Rabun Gap, GA in 1989. She attended Oakville Elementary and Leonardtown High School. She worked for Health South Corporation as a Medical Receptionist. Her hobbies included horseback riding, animals, music and drawing. She loved meeting new people and made friends easily with those she met. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 from 5 – 8 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where a Funeral Service will be held at 7 PM with Rev. Clyde Phillips officiating. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2005 in Persimmon Baptist Cemetery, Clayton, GA. Pallbearers will be Paul Phillips, John Phillips, Ross Alley, Dickie Chastain, Kermit Keener and Lucas Speed. Arrangements provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
