Police Nab Last Call Bandits
WALDORF --- On Feb. 24 at 12:06 a.m., Charles County
Sheriff's officers responded to Last Call Sports Bar in the 2100 block of Crain Highway in
Waldorf for the armed robbery report. Investigation revealed two suspects approached two
men behind the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money and property. The victims
complied and the suspects fled in a vehicle south on Crain Highway onto Route 228. A
lookout for the vehicle - a light blue or silver Mercury Grand Marquise with a busted
taillight - was broadcast. Officer D. Gross observed the vehicle cross the Charles/Prince
George's County line on Route 228 and followed the vehicle. Officer Gross, with assistance
from additional Sheriff's officers, Prince George's County police officers and Maryland
State Police troopers, conducted a felony traffic stop on the vehicle on Livingston Road.
Two occupants of the vehicle, Cameron Darrell Henderson, 18, and Paul Gerard Swope, 16,
both of Waldorf, were identified as the suspects in the robbery and were arrested. The
driver of the vehicle - a 20-year-old Waldorf man - and another passenger in the vehicle,
a 19-year-old Waldorf man, were detained and released. Robbery detectives are continuing
to investigate the incident.
