Pollyanna Cook Melin, 83
Pollyanna Cook Melin, 83, of Leonardtown, MD, died on Tuesday, July 6,
2004 at her residence.
Born on September 2, 1920 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of the late Isaac
Thompson Cook and Lilyan Brown Sherwood Cook. Mrs. Melin was a homemaker and a member of
the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of America.
Mrs. Melin is survived by three daughters; Cecilia Sherwood Melin of Leonardtown, MD,
Pamela Melin Coflin and her husband Wallace Clarke Whitey Coflin of Hollywood,
MD, Amanda Ann Mulligan and her husband Michael Duke of Leonardtown, MD and one son,
William Melin and his wife J. Lynn Craddock Melin of Juno, AK, four grandchildren; Shauna
Michelle Mulligan, Michaela Ann Duke, Paul Thompson Melin and Kenneth Luckey Melin. In
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Captain Kenneth Leroy
Melin, U.S.N. (Retired).
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church
of the Ascension in Lexington Park, MD. The Reverend Rona Harding will conduct the
service. Interment will be private.
