Pot Found in St. Marys County in
Pocket of Womans Coat
On 1/27/05, at 1:26 p.m., Tpr. P. A. Trossbach initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Route 235, south of Laurel Grove Road in Mechanicsville for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed suspected marijuana in the passengers coat pocket. The passenger, Allea Lamarr James, 23, of Lexington Park was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana. James was transported to the St. Marys County Detention Center pending a bond review.
Woman Charged with Faking Prescriptions
LEXINGTON PARK --- On 1/31/05, at 11:48 a.m., TFC M. S. Newman served a criminal summons on Mary Elaine Moore, 57, of Lexington Park. These charges stem from an investigation from which Ms. Moore is charged with 22 counts of prescription fraud at the McKays Pharmacy in Lexington Park in 2004.
Burglars Will Be Drinking Liquor and Watchin Flicks
LUSBY --- On 1-22, between 12:30 PM and 2:55 PM, an unknown culprit forcibly entered a residence on Golden West Way, Lusby, and removed a ½ gallon of liquor and a Sylvania DVD/VCR player. CIT is handling the investigation.
Boat Slow Without Motor
CALIFORNIA --- Between 1/25/05 at 3:30 p.m. and 1/26/05 at 9:00 a.m., unknown suspect(s) removed an outboard motor that was attached to a boat parked adjacent to the roadway on Route 4 at North Patuxent Beach Road in California. The motor was a Honda 9.9 horsepower outboard motor. The motor is valued at $2600. TFC W. P. Goldston is conducting this investigation.
BMW Stolen From In Front of Owners Home
GREAT MILLS --- Between 1/25/05 at 8:30 p.m. and 1/26/05 at 7:50 a.m., unknown suspect(s) stole a vehicle that was parked in front of a residence on Nicholas Court in Great Mills. The investigation revealed that the suspect(s) removed a 2002 black BMW 330CI, displaying Maryland registration MEL217. TFC A. J. Rossignol is conducting this investigation.
Grateful Deadhead Given Cell
HOLLYWOOD --- On 1/26/05, at 7:46 a.m., Tpr. P. A. Trossbach initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at Route 235, south of South Sandgates Road in Hollywood for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed suspected marijuana in the drivers front pants pocket. Ian Matthew McBride, 23, of California was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed additional suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Mr. McBride was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Mr. McBride was transported to the St. Marys County Detention Center pending a bond review.
Man Charged with Beating Woman
LEXINGTON PARK --- On 1/27/05, at 12:29 a.m., TFC M. S. Newman responded to Lexwood Court in Lexington Park for the reported assault. Further investigation revealed that Mark Wayne Williams, 37, of Lexington Park had assaulted a 37 year old female at a residence on Lexwood Court. Mr. Williams was placed under arrest and charged with 2nd degree assault. Mr. Williams was transported to the St. Marys County Detention Center pending a bond review.
Tiger Swiped from Yard
LUSBY --- On 1-25, a resident of Mesa Trl., Lusby, reported that an unknown culprit had stolen a "Tiger Shark" sled from in front of the garage. TFC Bowling is handling the investigation.
