Pricey Ford Purloined at St. Peter's
RIDGE --- Maryland State Police in Leonardtown report that between 5/20/04, at 11:30 p.m. and 5/21/04, at 6:00 a.m., unknown suspect(s) removed a 1997 Ford Expedition SUV valued at $20,000 from a residence on St. Peter Claver Road in Ridge.  Tpr. L. N. Nims is conducting this investigation.
Cocaine Kimberly in Wrong Place at Wrong Time
HERMANVILLE --- On 5/17/04, at 2:47 p.m., Tpr. P. A. Trossbach responded to the parking lot of Butler's Place on Three Notch Road in Hermanville, for a reported domestic argument.  A computer check revealed there was an active protective order against Kimberly A. Viernes, 33, of California.  Ms. Viernes was arrested and charged with violation of a protective order.  Maryland State Police say that a search incident to arrest revealed suspected cocaine and paraphernalia containing suspected cocaine residue on her person.  She was charged additionally with possession of CDS, CDS paraphernalia and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
Ralph the Mouth Went South to Jail
GOLDEN BEACH -- On 5/20/04, at 9:57 p.m., Maryland State Police TFC M. L. Bowling responded to a residence on Dogwood Lane in Mechanicsville, for a reported disturbance.   During the investigation, Ralph I. Thomas Jr., 22 years, of Mechanicsville, became disorderly, according to the Maryland State Police.  As a result, he  was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

CHAPTICO --- St. Mary's Deputy Milton Pesante located Timothy Francis Quade (age 20 of Chaptico) in the Hollywood area and arrested him for an open warrant. The warrant was through the District Court for Failure To Appear on the original charge of Theft over $500.00. He was incarcerated pending a bail review, according to Sgt. Daniel Alioto.
They Don't Have Closets in Jail
LEXINGTON PARK --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Dfc.  John W. Cusic located Denise Lachelle Williams, 35, and arrested her for (2) two open Failure To Appear warrant through Calvert County. Suspect Williams was found hiding inside a closet in a Lexington Park residence. She was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center to await a bail review with the District Court Commissioner.
Deputy Tracks Down Car Burglar
LEONARDTOWN --- Pursuant to an ongoing investigation St. Mary's Sheriff's Dfc. John W. Cusic gathered an abundance of evidence from the scene and through witness interviews related to a burglary to a motor vehicle. He developed a Suspect and
Adam James Mantz was arrested and charged. He is currently incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center for an unrelated offense.
Woman Had Boosted Tags, Say Police
LEXINGTON PARK --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Dfc. John W. Cusic located a vehicle in the Lexington Park area and a computer check of the tags revealed that the tags displayed on the vehicle were stolen. The owner/operator of the unregistered vehicle, Suspect Melinda Sue Danforth, (age 35 of Lexington Park) was charged with the theft of the tags and she is awaiting a Preliminary before the District Court.
For Whom the Cell Tolls
LEXINGTON PARK --- St. Mary's Sheriff's Office Deputy W. Daniel Ray responded to a Lexington Park residence for the reported fraud. As the investigation continued it was found that Suspect Maurita Elisa Weaver had utilized and undisclosed Victim's personal information to obtain access to that Victim's Verizon Cellular Phone Account. The Suspect was located by Deputy Angela Muller and served a Criminal Summons to appear in the District Court for a Preliminary Hearing.
