Robert Edison Steele
Robert Edison Steele, 55, of Callaway, MD died April 16, 2005 in Clinton, MD. Born November 2, 1949 in Abingdon, VA he was the son of the late Burl T. and Vivian J. Dye Steele. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Anne Steel and his children, Robert Daniel Steel and Melanie Anne Towle of Baltimore, MD, Mandi Bernazani of Valley Lee, MD and three grandchildren. Mr. Steele is also survived by his sisters, Vivian Troiano of Callaway, MD and Jackie Dyson of Lexington Park, MD, and his brother, John Steele, of Lexington Park, MD. Mr. Steele has lived in St. Mary’s County since 1955 when he relocated with his family from Bristol, Virginia. He was a graduate of Great Mills High School, Class of 1967. He was employed as a carpenter for 30 years until his retirement in May, 2003. His hobbies included Art and following the NASCAR Racing circuit. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 21, 2005 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where a Funeral Service will be held beginning at 7:00 PM with Reverend Sheldon Reese officiating.
